Motorist Alert The Priority Health Tour de Leelanau course will be marked with official Tour de Leelanau Race Course signs on the Thursday evening prior to the Saturday event. This year, the course will be marked on both sides of the road to help alert on-coming traffic to the fact that they may meet up with a slow moving Sheriff's car followed by a peloton of cyclists. The course signs will be removed from the roadsides ASAP after the racers have passed through the area.Additionally, in order to ensure the safety of the race road junction marshals (and everybody else involved), "Be prepared to stop" signs will be erected before all course road junctions where there are not normally "Stop" signs. Again, once the racers have passed through that area, the temporary "Be prepared to stop" signs will be taken down.. |
